Atal Tinkering Lab

The Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) is a workspace in Indian schools that provides students with access to modern innovative technologies. It is a sub-mission of the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) of the NITI Ayog, the Government of India’s premier policy think tank. The vision of ATL is to “cultivate one million children in India as neoteric innovators”.

ATLs are designed to foster curiosity, creativity, and imagination in young minds. They equip students with skills such as:

• Design thinking
• Computational thinking
• Adaptive learning
• Physical computing

Students in these labs get hands-on experience with various tools and technologies, allowing them to tinker and develop ideas for solving problems they encounter in their everyday lives.
